About the Challenge
We’re on a mission to show the power of shopping local. Together, with our Presenting Sponsor MSUFCU Pillur Business Banking, our goal is to reach $100,000 in online sales in just 40 weeks through OC Main Streets. When you shop online with Oakland County Main Street businesses, you’re not only supporting your favorite local shops, but you could also win one of four $500 gift card prizes, AND help your local businesses & main streets along the way!
The challenge runs September 24, 2025 through June 30, 2026 with four 10-week award periods.
How It Works
For Customers & Community
- Qualified Entry: Every purchase made online through ShopOCMainStreets.com = 1 entry (no limit).
- Awards: Four total $500 OC Main Streets gift cards (one each award period).
For Businesses
- Qualified Entry: Make at least 1 sale in a week on ShopOCMainstreets.com to earn 1 entry into that period’s prize drawing.
- Conditions: Max 1 entry per week, up to 40 entries total during the challenge.
- Awards: Four total $1,000 drawings (one each award period).
For Participating Main Street Oakland County Organizations
- Qualified Entry: At least 6 sales per Main Street through through ShopOCMainStreets.com from at least 2 different businesses in a week = 1 entry into the current drawing.
- Note: downtown seller accounts do not count toward entry.
- Conditions: Max 1 entry per week per downtown, up to 40 entries total.
- Awards: Four total $1,000 drawings (one each award period).
Challenge Timeline
- Start Date: September 24, 2025
- End Date: June 30, 2026
- Award Periods:
- Period 1: Sept 24 – Dec 2, 2025
- Period 2: Dec 3, 2025 – Feb 10, 2026
- Period 3: Feb 11 – Apr 21, 2026
- Period 4: Apr 22 – Jun 30, 2026
- Drawings: Held at the end of each 10-week period. Winners will be contacted directly up to a week after each period closes to allow time to tally results and await any mail-in entries.
No Purchase Necessary (Consumer Entry Option)
We want everyone to have the chance to participate—whether or not you make a purchase. For consumers to enter without making a purchase:
