Description
This vintage Ifugao rice basket from the Cordillera highlands dates to the post-1950s period. Ifugao makers wove the basket in rattan and built a deep, time-earned patina through use and age. Thick, tightly wrapped reeds reinforce the lower section and create a stable base.
The basket served everyday village life and represents enduring Indigenous Ifugao craftsmanship. The structure remains solid, with age-appropriate wear and no modern repairs.
Dimensions: 9 in H × 5.5 in W × 5.5 in D
