Description
Our bees forage the fragrant lavender fields in the Thumb region of Michigan, gathering nectar during the brief summer bloom. This rare harvest becomes Michigan Lavender Honey, a small-batch, seasonal varietal known for its calming floral notes and delicate aroma. Because lavender blooms for such a short time, this honey remains one of our most limited and treasured offerings each year.
We cold-process each batch to preserve its full range of natural enzymes, pollens, antioxidants, and aromatics. We never heat or pasteurize the honey, allowing its raw qualities to remain intact. From hive to jar, our team handles the entire process by hand — filtering lightly, filling glass, sealing, and labeling each hex jar in-house.
This honey offers a smooth texture, mellow sweetness, and subtle lavender finish. The flavor doesn’t come from infusions or added oils — it’s entirely natural, drawn from the nectar of lavender blossoms themselves. The result is gentle and refined, never overpowering or perfumed.
You’ll find this honey ideal for evening tea rituals or relaxing moments throughout the day. Stir it into chamomile or Earl Grey, spread it on a warm biscuit, or drizzle it over goat cheese or yogurt. Its mild floral profile also pairs well with light vinaigrettes, whipped cream, and baked goods like lavender shortbread or honey cakes.
Unlike blended commercial honeys, this varietal reflects a specific time and place — the summer fields of Michigan’s Thumb, captured by bees and bottled without interference. Our hives sit near family-run lavender farms, where we monitor bloom cycles closely and time the harvest for peak flavor and clarity.
Each jar contains 8 oz. of raw honey and comes in our signature glass hex packaging — clean, minimal, and gift-ready. Store your jar in a cool, dry spot. If it crystallizes over time (a sign of purity), you can warm it gently to restore its liquid form.
Michigan Lavender Honey is available only while supplies last. Once the fields fade and the bees move on, we wait patiently for next year’s bloom.
